The Velvet Underground Platinum Collector's Box

Jacques Marie Mage x The Velvet Underground Platinum Edition Commemorative Box Set, an exclusive collector’s set celebrating a five-year collaboration with one of the most influential bands of all time. Limited to an edition of 100, it features four distinct eyewear styles: WHITE LIGHT (2020), SQUEEZE (2021), FATALE (2022), and VICIOUS (2023), each crafted in an exclusive Platinum color story. This collector box cannot be returned. 

Housed in a custom Silver monograph box set, it includes four soft satin eyewear pouches, four double-sided microfiber cleaning cloths—each featuring the original design that debuted with its respective frame—and five letterpress authenticity cards with hand-written limited-edition numbers.

Completing the set is an exclusive copy of “1969: Velvet Underground Live With Lou Reed,” a double LP in silver vinyl, reissued for the first time in 50 years.

Vicious sunglasses inspired by the icy wrap-arounds worn by Lou Reed while working on his second album, Transformer (1972). Originally released by JMM in Summer 2023, these edgy and elevated spectacles have been reimagined in Polished Black, featuring temple interiors in Metallic Silver with Gold foil-stamped hallmarks, complemented by mirror lenses and our signature precious metal hardware and exposed wirecores in Silver.⁠

Squeeze inspired by the eyewear worn in the late 60s by Nico, né Christa Päffgen, muse and lead singer on three songs from Velvet Underground's debut album. Originally released by JMM in Spring 2021, these iconic glasses have been reimagined in Polished Black, featuring temple interiors in Metallic Silver with Gold foil-stamped hallmarks, complemented by mirror lenses and our signature precious metal hardware and exposed wirecores in Silver.⁠

Fatale sunglasses inspired by the eyewear worn by Nico (Christa Päffgen) while attending the Monterey Pop Festival in 1967, these titanium frames handcrafted from 100% beta titanium are a homage to the ultimate chanteuse. Originally released by JMM in Summer 2022, the collection’s single titanium expression is a savage vision in Silver featuring hand-painted epoxy temple-tips in Gold.⁠      

White Light sunglasses inspired by the stark spectacles worn by the founding member of Velvet Underground, John Cale, and named after the group's second album, "White Light, White Heat" (1968). Originally released by JMM in Spring 2020, this is art-rock eyewear reimagined in Polished Black, featuring temple interiors in Metallic Silver with Gold foil-stamped hallmarks, complemented by mirror lenses and our signature precious metal hardware and exposed wirecore in Silver.
